Black Gnat

The Black Gnat, Culcidae insect group. From late Spring till the end of the trout fishing season.On lakes often seen in swarms under overhanging trees. On rivers they tend to swarm over the slower moving sections. Mating couples often drop to the surface whearby trout are happy to snap them up. Excellent all purpose search fly.
